Order your meal first, than order drinks...in hopes that your food will come out sooner.
Look to see if the place is full or empty, see if the wait staff is busy or borred..
Ask another table how long they have been waiting for their order and then decide to stay or go.
Be careful about paying the bill with credit card, 15% gratuity in some cases is applied already, be careful not to give another Tip of 15%
If you wait more than 30 minutes to get served, I would pay for any drinks appetizers at this point and leave unless the restaurant is packed than 45 mins. Dont worry there are many other Restaurants.

**These are Bars and Restaurants we have been to..Some are better than others, Some are cheaper than others, Remember you are in a touristy town and the prices on things fluctuate, beers/shots..Always ask a price before you buy a round. There are other restaurants on the outside of Rincon, And dont pass up on some of those Pincho stands on the sides of the road, they have some of the best food you can enjoy for the price.**

Brasas Grill at Rincon Beach Resort 787-589-9000 is an elegant, contemporary Caribbean cuisine restaurant, specializing in steaks, seafood and other local delicacies. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are a real treat at Brasas Grill. Our lobby bar is fun central.

EL Bambino Italian Restaurant, 787-823-3744. Italian and Puerto Rican dishes.

El Fogon De La Curva Restaurant 787 826-0096    Offers traditional Puerto Rican dishes, lechon, fresh daily fish specials, beers and homemade infused rum. Attached Fresh Fish market.

El Pequeno Guavate Restaurant, Traditional Puerto Rican fare including mofongo, lechon, arroz gandules, yucca and appetizers.

Harbor Restaurant 787-823-0547   If fresh seafood is of your liking, then is for you. This beachside eatery specializes in serving the best whole fresh Caribbean Lobster, fresh Red Snapper and fresh Mahi Mahi filet, along with in-season fresh Grouper and the catch of the day.

Horned Dorset The Blue Room 787-823-4030 is dining at sea, in a Sorrento-tiled intimate space with wooden louvers cutting the glare of the ocean, or outside on the gravel terrace under the stars. Enjoying breakfast and light lunches on the open verandah adjoining the lobby and bar is an informal, breezy experience.

Rincon Tropical Restaurant 787-823-2017. Closed Tuesday. Creole dishes offers a wide variety of fresh fish, lobster and local flavor at moderate prices. One of the best empanadillas (seafood turnovers) are made here. We also offer a private dining room and our Happy Hour Bar is a local favorite.

Rock Bottom Bar and Grill 787-823-3756 offers the tastiest pub grub in Rincon. Pull up a chair at our big circular bar, and after a few of our rum punches you will wish you visited us sooner and more often. Stay late for great tunes and a lively night time scene.

Simply Delicioso, 787-823-5225. Great food and inexpensive. Southern Style food with a Puerto Rican influence. Great place to get food to go and eat on the beach. Lunches 5-6.

Desecheo Island National Wildlife Refuge Desecheo Island, 14 miles from the coast, is not open to visitors; however, diving, snorkeling and fishing around the island is allowed.

Katarina Sail Charters, Black Eagle Marina, 787-823-7245 Day Sails: 10:30AM-1:30PM; Evening Sails: 4:30PM-After sunset. Day sails includes snorkeling, whale watching and lunch, and evening sails include whale watching and free drinks. Day Sails: $60/30 (Adults/Children under 12) Evening Sails: $40/20 (Adults/Children under 12).

Rincón Skate Town, 787-823-2897. M-F: 11AM-9PM; Sa-Su & Holidays: 9AM-9PM. Rincon has a Skate Board Park located in the Downtown area, just a few blocks from the main town plaza.

Rincón Lighthouse Park / El Faro Lighthouse, 787 823-2244. Erratic hours; sign on door says 'usually open at 10:30'. Recreation site with a beautiful view of the Desecheo Island National Wildlife Refuge on Mona Passage. The park has a gift shop and a snack bar.

Rincón Nuclear Plant. Unusual dome shaped building that is currently being converted into a museum.

Sports Center and Public Gymnasium Rincon has a great sports complex which is open to the public and a great facility for visitors who want to stay in shape while on vacation. Located in the Corcega section of Rincon, you'll find a running track that is a favorite for local joggers. There is also a well-equipped gymnasium if you want a more intensive workout. There is also a basketball court, baseball diamond and tennis courts. The Sports Complex has plenty of free parking and is open seven days a week.

Taino Divers, Black Eagle Marina 787-823-6429 Daily 9AM-9PM. Diving and snorkeling, whale watching tours and fishing.

Whale watching. Usually December-March, February being the peak season. While impossible to predict what time whales will show up, usually before 10AM and evenings are the best time. The Rincón Lighthouse is a great place to whale watch.

Rincon is an amazing place to surf. What put Rincon on the map was the 1968 World Surfing Championship held at Domes Beach in Rincon, Puerto Rico. Some places to surf are Domes, Marias, Indicators and many more. If you are learning to surf definitely try getting an instructor, these will show you where the best places are for your level of surfing. The winter surf along Rincón's coast is some of the best in the region. Most generally regarded as one of the best surf spots across the globe, Rincón draws surfers from around the world. Rincón is the center of the island surf scene. Dubbed the "Caribbean Pipeline," winter waves here can approach 25 feet (6.7m) in height, equaling the force of the surf on Oahu's north shore. Famed surfing beaches in town include Puntas, Domes, Tres Palmas, Steps, Sandy Beach, Antonio's, Pools, and Maria's. The best time to surf is from November through April, but summer storms can also kick up the surf.
